28th of February 2009: Oceanwave Digital open a West London Office

Oceanwave Digital, in conjunction with i-Layer Limited, are pleased to announce the opening of their third office: located in West London, our new office is situated close to major transport links and in the centre of a thiving creative community. This new office will serve as the 'backoffice' for our operations, in addition to being a staging area for major projects. "In some ways we have come full circle" says Managing Director Patrick Fitzgerald. "This is not far away from where Oceanwave commenced operations some 13 years ago."

1st of January 2009: Oceanwave Digital in Management Buyout.

We are pleased to confirm the successful conclusion of negotiations to purchase the Oceanwave Digital technology support business by the core technical team that founded the original company.

All ongoing business will be handled by Oceanwave Digital Services Limited, during the transition to this new entity the existing infrastructure will be preserved - thus avoiding any potential outage of our services. "We believe that as a result of this watershed event we will be able to refocus and enhance the services that we provide to our clients" stated Gareth Chillingworth, Technical Director.

16th June 2004: Oceanwave Relocate.

Oceanwave Digital have relocated to more modern premises in 'The Space', a state of the art serviced office complex in Fitzrovia, London. The new address is:

Even though Oceanwave are growing we have managed to reduce our office space requirements by actively embracing homeworking and hot desking.

30th January 2004: Information on the move.

Oceanwave Digital install Microsoft Mobile Information server enabling fund managers to travel light and give presentations or access email and files on the move. The XDAII Personal Digital Assistant also doubles as a mobile phone.

10th December 2003: Remote Working Solution enabled in-house.

Oceanwave Digital consultants now have full office functionality at home. Their telephones connect to the office phone switch and behave like their desktop phones. They have full functionality to park, forward and conference calls. Calls between the office and home are free, and calls made from home appear as though they originate from the office The PCs connect remotely by VPN allowing full file and application use. A Jabber instant messenger application interacts with both the telephone system and the PC showing availability of all virtual team members (at desk, on phone, absent)
enabling real group interaction as well as standard chat functionality.

24th November 2003: Offsite Back-up service launched.

Oceanwave Digital launch service to collect weekend back-up tapes, run a restore test (to verify data recoverable from that tape) and store in offsite fire safe. This means that clients are sage in the knowledge that their back-up tapes are safe and will work.

10th November 2003: Recruitment Campaign Manager launched for HR departments and companies.

Where there are many suitable CVs for a job, applicants can be pre-interviewed by an automated voicemail system. This enables each applicant to call a specified phone number, enter a pre-arranged PIN code, and then answer a series of pre-recorded questions. The answers for all respondees are presented in a table of .wav files that can be easily reviewed by the interviewer, allowing them to assess voice, tone, attitude before going to the time or expense of a physical interview.

4th August 2003:- Disaster Recovery.

Oceanwave Digital implement disaster recovery solution for fund manager. All data is replicated live to offsite servers. In the event that their office servers are unavailable, access is switched to remote servers. In the event that their office is unavailable staff can log in to remote servers from home.
